I have made considerable progress since our last emails and I now have Mary Ann (Bullard) Newth's birth certificate (Coningsby, Lincolnshire, 13th December, 1848, daughter of Thomas Ransom Bullard, Jnr., and Mary Borkwood Bullard) and also her date of death (17th March, 1920) from announcements in the Nelson Evening Mail, see below
Nelson Evening Mail, 18th March, 1920:

Nelson Evening Mail, Thursday, March 17th, 1921:
IN MEMORIAM
NEWTH.- In Loving Memory of my
dear mother, Mary Ann Newth, who
passed away 17th March, 1920.
Thou are not forgotten, dearest mother,
Or will thou ever be,
So long as life and memory last,
We will remember thee.
Sweet is the sleep, you so much needed,
Free from sorrow, care and pain;
Thinking of you now so peaceful,
We could not wish you here again.
(Inserted by her loving daughter and son-in-law, E. and M. Jacobsen.)
(Maud Rose Newth (b. 1891) married Ernest Frank Jacobsen, both died 1950's and buried in Wakapuaka).
